The Human kingdom of Azeroth was perhaps the largest in the world. Its military strength unquestioned, its prosperity well known. The country's farms produced more than enough food and their cities stood for many years unchallenged by enemies. When crops started failing and sickness started to run rampant people began to worry. Then the portal appeared. The Orcs who first came through found farmers and easily crushed them. Heartened my this news an invasion immediately followed. Even though Humanity were unprepared for a war with sutch a formidable opponent, the Orcs were even less prepared for the battle that ensued. The Orcish army immediately found their way to the Azeroth capital at Stormwind Keep. They even managed to break into the mighty castle. But amazingly the footmen held them at bay while the ferocious knights of Azeroth cut through the Orcish ranks slaughtering all in their path. Faced with certain doom the remnants of the Orcish army fled back to the Black Morass where they first entered this world.
The leaders of the Orcish army blamed each other, of course, for the massive failure. But the leader of the mysterious Shadow Council put a new leader in place to organize the Orcs under one banner. Not much is know about this new leader, Blackhand the Destroyer.
Fifteen years have passed from the day of that fateful battle and now word has reached us that the Orcs are starting to attack. Only time will tell if the kingdom of Azeroth can hold back the Horde or if it will fall like the other enemies of the Horde. Not one soldier or citizen of Azeroth knows what the tides of fate holds for our two races, Orcs and Humans.
